Project Nursery

Baby boys room is looking so cute! Hubby has worked so hard on refinishing great grandma's dresser for me. Look how great he did!

I've also been working hard on the finishing touches that i could do without hurting little jelly bean. I love how everything is coming together :)

I'm Back!

You know the feeling when you visit your old neighborhood and come across someone who used to be two and is now in junior high? You're completely shocked at how much they have grown up when you haven't (of course) aged since you graduated high school... or so it feels. Many people refer to this as the "looking glass"  when time feels frozen. That's how our last year has felt. We have been so busy having fun with new jobs, working towards graduation, and preparing for a baby on the way that it was a shock when i realized it had been an entire year since i've blogged! So, i'm opening up the door to any of my past blog readers who would like to read the ramblings of our seemingly frozen life. I'm back!

Yes you read that right... we are expecting a sweet baby boy this fall! We are so excited (and terrified) to be parents and welcome a little one into our home. Heaven help us to be as wonderful as our parents were. The past five months have consisted of reading every baby book, magazine and pamphlet i can get my hands on, getting to know the toilet 'up close and personal' (if you get my gist) during the first trimester, seeing our little jelly bean squirm around in 3D, and enjoying the feeling of never being alone as he reminds me with his strong kicks all day. I love being pregnant. What started out as so "wierd" to me has become comforting as our little boy grows. We already love him so much!

C has spent the entire summer working so hard at school so that he can hopefully graduate next May. He has sacrificed his summer for his family and it makes me love him even more. He is such a great husband / father / friend and i'm lucky to have him!

Ok enough of the mushy stuff for now (blame the hormones).
